In reponse to the infamous Edelman/Technorati survey, Noing Noing is trying to organise a Bloggers Revolt to protect the blogging world form the evil incursions of the PR companies.

Bloodsuckers?

He’s urging bloggers to apply a tag to their blogs on this topic.

I don’t believe there’s anything sacred about the medium.

Nor do I think the blogosphere needs any protection from the PR world.

Nor do I think PR needs any protection from the blogosphere.

PR companies should focus on developing purposeful and substantive conversations on behalf of their clients with the people who determine their success.

Targeting bloggers like media just will not wash. Without context, this is just blog spam.

If this represents the level of the PR industry sophistication, I fear the ‘buzz marketing’ brigade will eat our lunch. And not leave a tip.
