Results of the ‘Blogosphere meets PR study’ survey by Edelman are in, and appearing here.

A really mixed bag, that must be a result of some playful entries by discontented bloggers.

In particular, 70% of us want free stuff! Which must be good news for
those who want to turn the blogosphere into a virtual doormat for junk-conversation.

But the graph to the left is an interesting one. It shows, in a nutshell, that people don’t trust corporate blogs (just another PR/advertising medium, presumably!), but they do trust the ‘factual’ content of corporate web-sites.

More importantly still, 63% of us trust one another. Which means that as long as this mode of interaction doesn’t get dicked about with by clumsy marketers, it may just have the potential
to create genuinely interesting value-exchanges.
